Born in 1980, sound artist knd started performing improvised music in Sapporo around 2003; he later moved to Tokyo. knd currently gives multifaceted performances in which he weaves together digital and sometimes analog sounds, while incorporating many visual elements by placing multiple laptops in several locations and displaying texts on the screens, showing images with a projector, using small objects such as glass bottles, and more.
The two tracks on this album are solo performances by knd from concerts held at Ftarri on April 4 and August 8, 2021.
"In these recordings, I perform with a self-made application using JavaScript. With this application, commands and internal mike sounds as well as webcam images communicate with one another via multiple computers and smartphones. As a result, feedback occurs between terminals, and this sound changes due to network delays." (knd)
